Story of My Life

Hi Friends,

I'm Payel, feeling extremely happy and motivated as I am going to establish a long term relationship with you through this platform. Here, I would love to share my dreams, hopes and wishes, passions and two most important learning experiences from life that has opened my eyes to the self limiting ways of thinking which were holding me back to identify my true self.

I am someone like you who always have loved to live a life created by her own. My role models have always inspired me to live a life for a greater purpose. But I had began the journey of life in a most ordinary way.

As good education leads to a good job, first I went to a good school, then to a top ranked university followed by a Business School in order to acquire necessary skills, certificates and degrees. I have worked as a techno-commercial professional for different National and Multinational companies in India and abroad.

But nothing could seem to give me satisfaction as I knew that, it is not what I love but I have been taught to love this. I knew that someday, I have to follow my heart and will do something more meaningful in life.

My heart always belongs to kids and to work for value based education has always been my passion. To keep my passion alive, I have always kept myself associated with learning and development process of my organizations either by participating or by conducting different training sessions, events and workshops for new team members, managers or staff.

That time I had realized that the major issues corporations are facing today is "People Management." It is not something because of lack of ability or intelligence but the absence of right attitude and sense. Corporations are addressing this issue by investing heavily on corporate trainings like 'Leadership Enhancement', 'Interpersonal skills' or 'Change Management' but I doubt whether it can be resolved in actual as attitude once built in formative years is difficult to change after a certain age. Open mind and open heart can only open the door to active learning.

On the other hand, a super hectic work life had left me with very little time to spend with my six years old daughter. That time I noticed that there was a gap in her mental and emotional wellbeing. Like other moms, I have always wanted to see my child to grow as a smart, confident individual with higher values . First I thought as a working mother I would have failed somewhere to guide her in life. Later, I realized that it is a part of a whole picture.

I started spending more time with my daughter. During weekends, I also joined an after school enrichment program for kids as a volunteer to develop their lateral thinking and personality development skills. There, surprisingly I have noticed:

• Young kids have advanced so much technologically but not developed as a person mentally or emotionally
• They are accumulating huge information in their memory to excel in the examinations but most of them are starving for true knowledge and wisdom.

This concern has compelled me to think totally in a different direction. It is true that schools and colleges are excellent in teaching many difficult subjects and complex theories. But training to important life skills from early ages which are more essential for succeeding in life in general are totally neglected unless we hit university or corporate level.

We all know that true knowledge is aimed to teach us not only how to make a living but also how to live. It trains both our head and heart. I believe that our kids deserve to live a different existence than the one they are living today.

Considering this age of cut-throat competition and technological advancements, we have designed our Integrated Life Skill Development program in a very scientific way based on real life experiences. To make this learning process more exciting we have introduced smart & innovative tools and techniques which for sure will make our kids fall in love with learning and knowing.

At Enjoyers, our role is only to encourage young kids to explore their talents, to guide them to convert those talents to important skills and to help them to learn how to use and apply those skills to bring a positive change around them while living their dreams and values.

Surely, in achieving this goal, parents will continue to have a strong role in fact the primary role in creating child's value and support system.
